About The Back Room
We exist to free our clients' time so they can focus on what they do best — growing their business. We deliver smart, efficient solutions that liberate teams from the everyday admin, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Time is the ultimate currency, and we treat it like it.
About the Client
Our client is a growing bookkeeping and finance shared-services provider working with a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses across tech, professional services and retail. They value accuracy, timely reporting and scalable processes. This Graduate Programme role sits within a busy bookkeeping team and is designed to build core bookkeeping skills while contributing to day-to-day finance operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
This is an entry-level bookkeeping position within a structured graduate program. You'll work under the guidance of senior bookkeepers to manage core bookkeeping tasks across multiple client accounts. The role offers hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end routines — plus training in cloud accounting systems and processes improvement.
What You'll Do
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients: process supplier invoices, code transactions, and post receipts
Support accounts payable activities, coding and payroll.
Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
Assist with month-end tasks: prepare journals, run reports, and support the preparation of management accounts
Use cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online) to maintain accurate ledgers and client records
Work closely with the senior bookkeeping team to ensure timely cashflow processes and accurate client billing
Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and keep tasks on track
What We're Looking For
Recent graduate with a degree in Accounting or related courses
Some exposure to bookkeeping or accounting tasks—internships, placements, or part-time roles are appropriate. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Comfortable using spreadsheets and quick to pick up cloud accounting software
Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work during busy periods
Reliable communicator who collaborates well across finance and client teams
Eager to learn, take ownership of tasks, and grow within a structured graduate programme
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks Online or similar cloud accounting platforms
Basic understanding of accounts payable and payroll processes
Experience with reconciliation, invoicing platforms or billing portals
Prior client-facing experience or working in a professional services environment
Why This Role
This graduate program offers structured training, real client responsibility and exposure to continuous improvement projects. You'll gain practical bookkeeping experience across a variety of clients, work alongside experienced bookkeepers, and develop the technical skills and professional judgement needed for a long-term finance career.
This role is open to candidates currently based in the Philippines. Applications from all backgrounds are welcome; we are committed to inclusive hiring and skill-based progression.
