The Role
As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation and review of tax returns, tax compliance activities, and tax-related research for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with senior tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely filings while helping clients navigate complex tax regulations and reporting requirements.
What You'll Do
Prepare and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Gather, organize, and review financial information and supporting documentation required for tax filings.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax compliance requirements in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Conduct tax research and assist in analyzing tax issues, regulations, and updates.
Support tax planning initiatives by identifying potential tax-saving opportunities and compliance risks.
Collaborate with internal team members and clients to obtain information needed for tax engagements.
Maintain organized workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay informed of changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in tax preparation, tax compliance, or public accounting is preferred.
Understanding of tax principles, financial statements, and accounting concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or tax software.
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to changing tax regulations and client needs.
