About the Client
Our client is a full-service Australian accounting firm based in Melbourne, Victoria. The firm provides a comprehensive range of accounting, taxation, audit, and business advisory services to individuals, businesses, and organizations.
What You'll Do
Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
Assist with BAS, GST, and other ATO reporting requirements
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Communicate regularly with the Australian finance team regarding updates, clarifications, and reviews
Support audit preparation and respond to basic audit requests
Handle other ad hoc accounting tasks as directed by the client or senior accountant
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field
Strong educational background in accounting principles and practices
CPA license is an advantage but not required
Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and tax requirements is a plus
Basic knowledge of accounting processes and principles
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
