About The Back Room
We exist to free our clients' time so they can focus on what they do best — growing their business. We deliver smart, efficient solutions that liberate teams from the everyday admin, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Time is the ultimate currency, and we treat it like it.
The Role
As Treasury Associate, you'll own the day-to-day cash picture. You'll track balances across the group's bank accounts, process approved intercompany transfers, and keep short-term cash-flow forecasts accurate as collections and payments shift. Within your first 6–12 months, success looks like the Finance Manager trusting your cash position report without needing to double-check it, and potential shortfalls surfacing days in advance rather than on the day. This role suits someone who treats every account number and approval as worth verifying twice.
What You'll Do
Monitor daily cash balances across all company bank accounts and maintain the cash position schedule. Flag unusual movements or potential funding shortfalls to the Finance Manager early.
Prepare and process approved intercompany fund transfers. Verify amounts, bank details, supporting documents, and approvals before anything moves, and keep the intercompany transfer register accurate.
Update short-term cash-flow forecasts using input from Accounts Payable, Billing & Collections, and Accounting. Track actuals against the forecast and highlight significant variances.
Act as the day-to-day contact with banking partners for routine transactions, transfer confirmations, and account opening, maintenance, or closure.
Support bank reconciliations by supplying statements and confirmations to Accounting, and work with the GL Accountant to clear unreconciled items.
Prepare regular treasury reports, including cash position and intercompany transfer schedules. Provide what's needed for month-end close and audits.
Follow treasury controls and segregation of duties, handle banking information with strict confidentiality, and contribute ideas to improve and automate treasury processes.
What We're Looking For
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in treasury, accounting, banking, or a related finance role, with hands-on exposure to bank transactions, fund transfers, or bank reconciliations.
A working understanding of cash management and intercompany transactions.
Strong Excel skills and experience using an accounting system.
Consistent attention to detail. You check account details and approvals as a habit, not an afterthought.
Clear, proactive communication. You raise a discrepancy the moment you see it and can coordinate confidently across finance teams and with banks.
Discretion with confidential financial and banking information.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with Xero.
Experience preparing or updating cash-flow forecasts.
Exposure to a multi-entity or group company environment.
Why This Role
Most early-career finance roles only see cash from the reconciliation side, after it has already moved. This one puts you at the front of it: you'll see the whole group's cash position, work directly with the Finance Manager and banking partners, and help shape how the treasury function runs as its processes are improved and automated.
This role is open to Philippine citizens currently based in the Philippines.
