The Role
Core Competencies
● Strong finance-based analytical skills and interpersonal communication.
● Expertise in accounting and client management, including:
○ Prepaid revenue, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition.
○ Intangible asset management and mark-to-market valuation.
○ Inventory, purchase orders, and prepaid expenses.
○ Payment processing systems (e.g., Stripe).
○ Creating and managing monthly close lists.
○ Producing tax-ready year-end reports.
○ Accounts payable and receivable processing.
○ Producing financial reports and GL account reconciliations.
● Competency with software, using platforms like G-Suite, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp, and Brex Expensify, and Concur.
● Proficiency in video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams to facilitate client meetings.
● Bonus points if you have experience working with Non-profit or mission based businesses

What We're Looking For

Your Experience & Background
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● CIMA Qualification preferred.
● At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a startup environment.
● Experience using QuickBooks Online. Bonus points if you have experience using the classes feature of QBO.
● Proficiency in learning and adapting to new systems.
● Experience working remotely and developing strong team relationships based on trust and accountability.
● Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Willingness to follow established policies and procedures accurately.
● High level of confidentiality while working with sensitive client data.
